“New Images: The Ecological Footprint of Photography” sheds light on the photography’s environmental impact in its various aspects through newly commissioned articles written by international authors: from the toxicity of the materials used for film development and the entire analog process, to the extractive processes of rare earths and metals behind the making of digital images, to the energy costs and waste of materials that are carried by the organization of festivals and large exhibitions dedicated to photography.

It includes writing by Rica Cerbarano, Nadia Bozak, Hannah Fletcher, Jon Uriarte, Krzysztof Candrowicz, Paul Lowe and Alessandro Y. Longo
